We hope this doesn't become another election like what we had in Florida in 2000, basically a big voter counting nightmare. But, unfortunately it looks like some states are being set up for disaster at the polls by a campaign to try to confuse and/or frighten voters. Especially targeted are minority, low-income voters who would most likely be voting Democrat. In Virginia a flyer has been circulating "informing" voters that due to significantly high voter turnout, the election has been split into a two day event. With Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents voting on November 4th and Democrats and Democrat-leaning Independents voting on the 5th. Here is a link to the fake flyer. The false campaign flyer, which claims to be from the State Board of Elections, is purposefully misleading. It is a desperate attempt to suppress votes. The Virginia State Police are investigating if this is a case of voter intimidation. Communication of false information to a registered voter is a misdemeanor. We have a feeling that this just the beginning of what is going to be a very controversial election. Remember Election Day is November 4. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
